A 2011 report from the National LGBTQ Task Force found that 41% of Black trans women had lacked stable housing at some point in their lives. These factors would likely alter the results significantly, given the high rates of incarceration and poverty affecting LGBTQ+ people of color, particularly trans women. The study was not comprehensive, making no mention of race, ethnicity, or gender identity. While research showed that lesbians learned 7.2% more than heterosexual women, those assertions conflict with data from the progressive think tank Center for American Progress (CAP) showing that LGBTQ+ women are at an elevated risk for poverty.
